About:
The PAWS Club at Mineola Middle School recently donated $350 to Houston Pets Alive. Money was raised through a Pennies for Pets drive the students began in the fall to help the pets that were misplaced by the hurricane and flooding in Texas.
In addition, this year the PAWS club will also be purchasing a female pregnant goat for the Haitian Health Foundation. This goat will go to a family in need to provide them with milk, to use for bartering or to increase a herd. This is the fourth goat the club was able to donate. Funds were raised by making homemade dog toys and selling them for the holidays.
