About:
The Harborfields Pet Awareness Club at Harborfields High School recently partnered with the district’s three other schools – Oldfield Middle School, Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School and Washington Drive Primary School – for the club’s annual Howliday Pet Supply Drive.
“Once again the generous Harborfields community came through for our four-legged friends,” said Dan Barrett, the club’s co-adviser along with Jule Rosen. “These supplies not only go to shelters and rescue programs, but also to community food banks that help people who are struggling financially. One of the biggest reasons animals are surrendered to shelters is because their owners can no longer afford the care for their pet. This drive preemptively helps keep animals out of the shelter. Remember to always adopt instead of shop for your next pet.”
