About:

Our group is comprised of over 30 students’ graders 9-12 who participate on a sport team.

Every year we run a Fall and Spring Blood Drive for our school.  This fall we collected close to 50 pints of blood.  The Club has run this Drive for the past 10 years.  The members of the club are responsible to make appointments for the students ahead of time.  During the drive they welcome the students and instruct them on the process of giving blood.  After a student donates, our members sit with them until they are ready to return to class. The members of the club have been excellent in promoting the blood drive and each year we have more and more students donating.

Since last year our club has also been responsible to sell t-shirts to help promote Breast Cancer Awareness.  The shirt is designed with a slogan related to Breast Cancer, but we also include our slogan “Warriors for a Cause”.  These shirts are sold during the day and all proceeds are donated to breast cancer research.  Students and staff members who purchase these shirts are also encouraged to wear them on Fridays to show their support.  Unfortunately, we have had staff and community members effect by Breast Cancer and the members of the club fell this is a great way to show support.  This year we are projected to donate close to $6,000 dollars to Breast Cancer Research!
