PL Basketball brought its community together for a powerful Coaches vs. Cancer night, turning game night into a meaningful show of support for PL graduate Brooklynne Thorson as she continues her fight against cancer.
Throughout the evening, student-athletes, coaches, families, and fans stood together to show that athletics can be about far more than competition. The night featured a bake sale and silent auction, including themed baskets and items donated by generous supporters. All proceeds from the event were donated directly to support Brooklynne and her family.
The event highlighted the strength of the PL community and the compassion of its student-athletes, who used their platform to rally around one of their own. By dedicating a night to service and support, PL Basketball demonstrated what it truly means to play for something bigger than the game.
Coaches vs. Cancer nights like this remind us that when communities come together with purpose, they can make a meaningful difference—on and off the court.
