High school athletics are about more than wins and losses—and PLHS Boys Hockey proved just that by teaming up with PLLakersBAA for a meaningful Bags of Smiles community service project.
Student-athletes came together for a night focused on giving back, working side by side to support Bags of Smiles, an organization dedicated to spreading kindness and encouragement to children and families in need. The collaboration highlighted the power of teamwork—not just on the ice, but within the community.
Events like this reflect the values at the heart of education-based athletics: leadership, service, and compassion. By stepping up off the rink, PLHS Boys Hockey athletes demonstrated how sports can be a platform for positive impact, showing younger players and peers alike what it means to lead through action.
