About:
Each year, first grade students at Goosehill Primary School work on a special project to show their appreciation and bring cheer to veterans by making poppies and handwritten cards of appreciation.
Worldwide, the red poppy flower is worn to remember those in the military who have lost their lives and recognize war veterans and their families. This year, students in Ms. Joanne Katz’s class created their own poppies which they proudly gave to a family member or a friend in the military. Some students hung their poppies on their door to show their appreciation.
