About:
Creativity and the spirit of giving were the driving forces for students in Earl L. Vandermeulen High School’s Student Organization, who hosted a paint night to raise money to purchase gifts for three children that the group adopted for the holiday season. The successful event allowed students to showcase artistic talents and to share in the camaraderie of the group. The event also promoted the development of leadership skills and fostered shared interests and engagement. Students later purchased the gifts and wrapped them together.
“Everyone’s projects came out great,” said Gina Fedler, who co-advises the Student Organization with Celiana Gandolfo. “It was a wonderful experience for the students to see all of the gifts that we were able to give to the local community.”
