About:
The spirit of inclusion and community shone brightly at this year’s Prep Marathon, thanks in large part to the generosity of the Angel Fund and its supporters. Their contributions allowed more than 60 marathon t-shirts to be provided to students, ensuring that everyone could participate proudly and without financial barriers.
Created to eliminate obstacles and make school activities accessible to all, the Angel Fund once again helped strengthen unity and belonging across the entire school community. This year’s support not only assisted individual students but elevated the shared pride felt throughout the event.
The marathon itself was a true K–12 celebration, bringing together more than 1,200 students for a full day of school spirit. The event featured opening ceremonies, a parade of students, a lively teacher relay—won by Mr. DeCaro, Ms. Verthein, Mr. Kortz, and Mr. Williams—and the main student run, followed by fun activities for all grade levels. Students also played an active role in fundraising leading up to the marathon, adding another layer of purpose to the day.
A prize drawing capped off the excitement, with giveaways that included AirPods Pro and a UNRL gift card.
Once again, the Prep Marathon demonstrated the power of generosity, teamwork, and school pride—creating lasting memories and meaningful moments for students and staff alike.
