Photo caption: Ward Melville High School’s student government recently hosted Raffles for a Cause, an annual event that benefits nonprofit organizations or local families. Student government members voted on raising money for Last Chance Animal Rescue for this year’s event. Through creating baskets and selling raffle tickets, this year’s Raffles for a Cause raised more than ever before — $4,105 to benefit Last Chance Animal Rescue.
