About:
The Briarcliff Athletics Department, BHS Students Against Destructive Decisions Club, and BMS Bear to Bear Club recently teamed up to spotlight Co-Occurring Disorders (COD) during a Varsity Boys Lacrosse game.
April marks COD Awareness Month, a time dedicated to understanding the challenges faced by over 20 million individuals who experience both mental health issues and substance use disorders.
To show their support, the lacrosse players donned helmets featuring the COD logo. Club members actively engaged with attendees, distributing informative materials and COD-themed giveaways, including bracelets, tattoos, and stickers. An announcement highlighting the importance of COD awareness was also made during the event.
For further details about COD, please reach out to Meredith Ohmes, the BHS Student Assistance Counselor, or Alexa White, the BMS Student Assistance Counselor.
