About:
As the season continues, the team proudly hosted the first of two Mental Matters games, kicking things off with a meaningful home matchup against Yorktown High School—the hometown of Rob Kavovit. This event carries special significance as the team remains deeply committed to raising awareness about the importance of mental health, both in sports and in life.
Mental health is just as important as physical health, but it often doesn’t get the attention it deserves. The Mental Matters game is a powerful reminder that it only takes 15 seconds to check in on someone. A quick conversation can make all the difference.
This year’s event was another success, uniting the community for a cause that matters. Both JV and Varsity teams participated, helping to raise awareness and funds for @15forlifeorg. A special thank you to Jeffrey Kavovit for attending and to all the parents who helped organize the day. Your support makes this all possible.
The team is proud to carry on the 15 For Life Mission for the third straight year and looks forward to their second Mental Matters game this May against rival Colonie High School.
Let’s keep spreading the message: It only takes 15 seconds to make a difference.
