About:
Earlier this winter, Three Village Central School District’s fully remote elementary school students participated in a monthlong Kids Heart Challenge to help raise awareness for heart health and funds for the American Heart Association.
During the course of the month, the district’s remote elementary physical education teachers Alaina Maletta and Jennifer Balzan spoke with the students about the importance of physical fitness and heart health. In addition, they also participated in a variety of physical activities and were provided with the appropriate tools needed in order to remain active while at home.
The students collected sponsors to pledge donations to support their cause and ultimately raised $4,104.38 for the American Heart Association.
