The Rochester City Athletic Conference (RCAC) is honored to take part in Mental Health Awareness Week, which will be held from February 2, 2025, to February 7, 2025. This initiative emphasizes the importance of mental well-being for student-athletes, coaches, and staff, underscoring the crucial connection between mental and physical health in athletics.
During this week, each gymnasium in the RCAC will proudly display a Mental Health Awareness banner, designed by our Student Athletic Leadership Team (SALT). Additionally, Athletic Directors and Coaches have distributed Mental Health Awareness wristbands to all winter sports student-athletes, with stickers also available for anyone wishing to show their support.
All RCAC schools participated in this meaningful effort, with notable contributions from coaches and athletes. Among those involved are SALT members Madaleena, who has been a member for 2 to 3 years, and basketball teams from Monroe girls and boys, East basketball, WOI boys basketball, and Edison basketball.
