The Roy C. Ketcham (RCK) Cheer team is turning Friday night football into an opportunity to give back to the local community.
On Friday, September 18, RCK Cheer will host a Food Pantry Drive during the RCK football game to benefit St. Mary’s Food Pantry.
The team is encouraging fans and community members to bring non-perishable food items and toiletries to help stock the pantry’s shelves. Donations will be collected at the field entrance through halftime.
Needed items include canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, peanut butter and jelly, snacks, toiletries, and other shelf-stable essentials.
To encourage even more participation, each donated item will earn an entry into a gift basket drawing, featuring prizes donated by local businesses, including Stones Pizza and Fishkill Farms.
Through the drive, RCK Cheer is demonstrating how student-athletes can use sporting events to bring their community together and help neighbors in need.
