About:

We had both our girls and boys golf teams at Rush-Henrietta participate in the spring cleanup day at Wild Wood Country Club along with some of the player’s parents and siblings.
The Girls Varsity had 7 team members and 3 family members volunteer.
The Boys Varsity and JV teams had 7 team members and 4 family members volunteer.
Each group volunteered from 8:30 to Noon (3 1/2 hours).  The volunteers helped rake and pick up sticks and branches in the fairway and rough throughout the golf course.
We volunteer because it gives us a chance to give back to Wild Wood Country Club for supporting our golf teams throughout the season and in the summer and winter months.  Many of our players hone their golf skills at Wild Wood Country Club throughout the year – even during the winter months, Wild Wood Country Club provides our athletes with access to their three indoor golf simulators and their indoor putting and chipping green.  There are also so many benefits from volunteering – it provides our players with a sense of purpose, a sense of community, teaches valuable skills, and also helps our athletes meet people in our community.
