About:
The stands were packed and the energy was electric as the Briarcliff and Pleasantville communities came together for the 3rd Annual BTH Rivalry Game, supporting Break The Hold (BTH) and raising awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.
Both Pleasantville soccer teams earned big wins on the field, but the true victory came from the unity and compassion shown by everyone involved. This special event highlighted the importance of mental health awareness, community connection, and supporting one another, on and off the field.
The Pleasantville Field Hockey team also joined the movement in September , hosting their own BTH awareness game in support of the cause. Team members Ashley, Maya, and Ella delivered heartfelt words that reminded everyone in attendance that “it’s okay to not be okay.” Their message of strength, empathy, and peer support inspired both teammates and fans alike.
Together, these teams are proving that athletics can be a powerful platform for advocacy, awareness, and change. By turning competition into compassion, they continue to make a lasting impact on their community and beyond.
