About:
The Rocky Point Field Hockey team recently used its game against East Hampton to help raise awareness for an important cause through a special Morgan’s Message Game.
Morgan’s Message is dedicated to eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and encouraging open, honest conversations about mental wellness.
By hosting the awareness game, Rocky Point Field Hockey helped shine a light on the importance of supporting student-athletes not only physically, but emotionally and mentally as well.
The initiative gave players, families and community members an opportunity to come together around a message that reaches far beyond the field: student-athletes should never feel like they have to struggle alone.
Through events like this, teams can help create a culture where asking for help is encouraged, conversations about mental health are welcomed, and athletes know that their well-being matters.
Rocky Point Field Hockey’s support of Morgan’s Message is another great example of student-athletes using sports as a platform to make a positive difference and strengthen their community both on and off the field.
