About:

Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School takes the title this year. The school’s annual Souper Bowl brought together camaraderie and goodwill, as students collected soups and other canned goods while promoting kindness and caring for the community. Dozens of donations will benefit the food pantry at St. Anthony’s Church in Rocky Point.

The students were excited to help the community with this project as part of the ongoing Character Education program throughout the grade level. Thanks to the students of Pat Alberti, Allison Licata, Laurene Manfredonia, Tanya Meehan, Theresa O’Brien, and Deborah Vieira and Lisa Celentano’s fourth grade classes who continue to learn and emulate beliefs and behaviors that are important for them to have as responsible citizens.
