Ronkonkoma Middle School continues to make a meaningful impact through its annual Dezy Strong volleyball fundraiser.
Thanks to the efforts of the school’s PE staff and dedicated volunteers, this year’s schoolwide tournament was another tremendous success. Over the past four years, the Dezy Strong volleyball tournament has raised more than $25,000 while bringing students and staff together around an important cause.
Beyond the fundraising totals, the event provides students with an important lesson about the power of community, teamwork, and giving back. By combining fun, friendly competition, and service, the tournament has become a meaningful tradition within the school community.
The continued success of the Dezy Strong initiative highlights the positive impact schools can make when students and staff work together to support others and create change beyond the classroom.
