For the sixth consecutive year, East Meadow High School Track & Field team has dedicated their time to support the Long Island Marathon.
Their role involves overseeing the hydration stations at Mile 12 for the half marathon and Mile 25 for the full marathon. This includes various responsibilities such as distributing water and Gatorade, boosting morale with cheers and encouragement, guiding both runners and spectators along the route, and ensuring the area remains clean and tidy throughout the event.
This year, they were fortunate to have approximately 15 of their athletes contribute their time and energy from 7:30 in the morning until 2:00 in the afternoon.
