Carle Place’s Rushmore Avenue Elementary School hosted its third annual Cause for Paws Animal Shelter Drive. Students and staff collected 18 boxes filled with food, treats, bones, toys, and cleaning supplies for the precious dogs and cats at Forgotten Friends of Long Island Animal Rescue.
“The volunteers at Forgotten Friends of Long Island were overwhelmed by the generosity,” school library media specialist Marni Nelson said. “This wouldn’t have been possible without the help from so many giving people at Carle Place.”
