About:
In collaboration with the Student Athletic Council (SAC), Athletic Director Joe Ceglia and Joan Spedafino, the department organized a day filled with athletic events featuring their spring teams.
Prior to the start of the contests, a statement will be shared:
“The athletes and coaches aim for today’s games to carry a meaningful message: to raise awareness about various cancers and show support for our loved ones who have bravely fought against them. Each team has chosen a specific cancer to highlight and support. Please take a complimentary bracelet at the entrance to the fields as a symbol of your solidarity. Additionally, there are flyers with QR codes for those willing to make a donation to relevant cancer organizations. We deeply appreciate your presence at today’s contests and your unwavering support for those affected by these challenging illnesses.”
Throughout the day, students and athletes will lend their assistance by distributing bracelets, participating in each event, and sharing insights about the selected cancers.
