About:
On a day filled with competition and compassion, Rye Neck High School hosted its second annual SpringFest, uniting athletics and advocacy in a powerful show of community spirit. Each varsity team playing that day selected a type of cancer to bring awareness to, using their platform to educate and inspire.
In-game public service announcements highlighted key facts and statistics about each form of cancer, while attendees were encouraged to donate via QR codes displayed onsite. To visually represent the cause, free colored bracelets corresponding to each type of cancer were provided to athletes, umpires, and spectators.
The event was co-sponsored by the Rye Neck Booster Club and the Rye Neck School Foundation, further emphasizing the community-wide commitment to making a difference. Now in its second year, SpringFest continues to grow as a meaningful initiative that proves sports can do more than entertain, they can lead the charge for change.
