About:
The Sachem East cheerleading and football programs helped spread Homecoming excitement throughout the district by visiting local elementary schools and walking the halls alongside younger students.
Student-athletes stopped by schools including Lynwood Avenue Elementary School, giving younger students an opportunity to meet the high school athletes, show their Sachem pride, and get excited for the upcoming Homecoming celebration.
The visits offered the high school students a chance to serve as positive role models while strengthening connections between students of all ages across the Sachem community.
The celebration continues with Sachem East Homecoming on Saturday at 3:00 PM.
By taking time to connect with younger students, Sachem East’s cheerleaders and football players demonstrated that being part of a school team is about more than competition—it is also about leadership, school spirit, and giving back to the community.
