The Sachem East Girls JV and Varsity Soccer teams came together in a meaningful show of unity and remembrance to honor all those whose lives were forever changed by September 11, 2001.
The student-athletes proudly wore their new team warm-ups, standing together as one program to remember the victims, honor the heroes and first responders, and recognize the families and communities impacted by 9/11.
For the Sachem East players, the moment represented much more than unveiling a new team look. It was an opportunity to reflect on the importance of remembrance, unity, service, and gratitude.
By coming together, these student-athletes are helping ensure that a new generation continues to understand the significance of September 11th and carries its lessons forward.
