About:
Sag Harbor Elementary School students successfully predicted the winner of Super Bowl LII during the school’s 10th annual Souper Bowl, held during the morning program on Feb. 2.
As part of the yearly drive, students “voted” for their preferred football team by donating cans of soup and placing them in the box representing that team. The final tally revealed that Philadelphia would beat New England, with 275 cans for the Eagles versus 165 for the Patriots.
The Souper Bowl also featured a halftime show, with fourth- and fifth-grade students singing “Can’t Stop the Soup Can” to the tune of “Can’t Stop the Feeling” by Justin Timberlake.
All of the soup will be donated to the Sag Harbor Food Pantry.
