The Sayville Girls Varsity Volleyball program used a recent home match to recognize and honor the heroes who serve their community and country.
Following a 3-1 victory over Hampton Bays, the program took time to show appreciation for first responders, active-duty military members and veterans.
The special recognition gave players, families and fans an opportunity to come together in gratitude while honoring those who have dedicated themselves to protecting and serving others.
By incorporating this tribute into their athletic program, Sayville Girls Volleyball demonstrated how sports can provide a meaningful platform for remembrance, appreciation and community connection.
