About:
Students and staff at Sayville High School recently came together to recognize P.S. I Love You Day, promoting kindness, connection, and mental health awareness throughout the school community.
In support of the day, students and faculty wore purple to stand together in spreading a message of compassion and hope. Members of several student organizations—including the Anchor Club, Leadership Club, Peer Leaders, and SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions)—collaborated to organize activities that fostered positivity and support among their peers.
As part of the initiative, the Leadership Club led a kindness campaign, filling the cafeteria windows with colorful and uplifting messages designed to brighten students’ days and remind them that they are valued members of the school community.
Students also participated in free giveaways and a poster-making activity, allowing them to express their own messages of encouragement and support.
Through these efforts, the Sayville Public Schools community reinforced the powerful message behind P.S. I Love You Day—that small acts of kindness can make a big difference and help create a school environment where everyone feels supported and connected.
