Organized by the school’s Student Council and Letter Club, the “Spike It Up” volleyball tournament will take place on Friday, March 13 in the school gym during periods 4 through 7. The event invites students to form teams of 5–6 players and compete in a friendly volleyball tournament designed to promote school spirit and community involvement.
Each participant will contribute $10 to enter, with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. The event is being held in honor of Pierce Slutzky, making the tournament an opportunity for students to rally together in support of cancer awareness and research.
Registration for the tournament opened on March 2 at 7:30 a.m., with a maximum of 48 teams able to participate on a first-come, first-served basis.
Events like “Spike It Up” highlight the leadership and compassion of students at Paul D. Schreiber High School, demonstrating how athletics and school spirit can be used to raise awareness and support important causes.
By combining competition, teamwork, and philanthropy, Schreiber students are showing how coming together as a community can make a meaningful difference both inside and outside the gym.
