About:
The Webster Schroeder boys basketball team recently held its annual Free Throw Shooting Fundraiser at the high school, with over 60 students from 7th to 12th grade participating and shooting 100 free throws each.
Players who wanted to join the fundraiser collected pledges for each free throw made. For example, some players sought pledges from family members, who would donate a certain amount for each successful free throw.
The proceeds benefited the Webster Schroeder basketball program, and they proudly donated $1,000 each to The Steel Lillies Charity and The Wilmot Cancer Institute.
The event featured several special guests, including our basketball captain, an alumnus whose mom is honored by The Steel Lillies Charity, and the top two player donors from the fundraiser.
It was a fantastic event that showcased the dedication and generosity of their players and community.
