About:
The Webster Schroeder Boys Basketball program continued its tradition of service by making an impact both in the classroom and throughout the community.
One of the team’s favorite days of the season was Warrior Read Day, when players visited Plank South Elementary School to read with students and connect with future Warriors. The visit created an exciting and memorable experience for younger students, as Schroeder players shared stories, offered encouragement, and modeled positive role models. The team extends a heartfelt thank you to the students, staff, and families at Plank South Elementary.
In addition to Warrior Read Day, Schroeder Boys Basketball also played a key role in supporting the Thomas and Schroeder Community Food Drive, sponsored by the Webster Community Chest. Through this initiative, students and families came together to help address food insecurity in the local community. Donations of non-perishable food items were collected at both Webster Thomas and Schroeder High Schools and during home basketball games, helping provide meals and groceries to families in need.
Together, these efforts reflect what it truly means to be a Warrior—using athletics as a platform to lead, serve, and support others. Whether inspiring younger students through literacy or helping families facing food insecurity, Schroeder Boys Basketball continues to demonstrate that a team’s impact extends far beyond the court.
