As the Seaford community prepares to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, second graders at Seaford Harbor Elementary School have been learning about the courage, service and sacrifice shown that day.
Students explored stories of first responders and ordinary citizens who acted with extraordinary bravery, helping them better understand the many acts of heroism that took place during one of the most significant moments in our nation’s history.
Through these lessons, students are not only learning about September 11, but also about the importance of helping others, showing courage and standing together as a community.
