This Thanksgiving season, Section V athletes, schools, and community partners came together in extraordinary ways to support families and seniors across the region. Through food drives, meal deliveries, outreach events, and acts of kindness, they showed what it truly means to serve with purpose.
Across dozens of programs, students demonstrated leadership far beyond the field—packing meals, collecting donations, engaging with local organizations, and ensuring that no family felt alone during the holiday season. Their collective efforts helped bring comfort, dignity, and holiday warmth to countless households.
This year, the Section V Thanksgiving program not only met its goal—it surpassed it. But the greatest achievement wasn’t measured in totals; it was seen in the smiles, conversations, and connections built throughout each community.
This powerful regional effort was made possible thanks to 91 teams, along with the unwavering support of businesses, organizations, parents, administrators, teachers, coaches, booster clubs, and local law enforcement. Together, they proved that the power of sports extends far beyond competition—it’s a force for unity, compassion, and positive change.
As we reflect on this season of gratitude, we extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and generosity.
