About:
Students at Selden Middle School are once again stepping up to make a meaningful impact through their 4th Annual Pantry Drive supporting the local homeless community. ❤️
Led by the school’s Student Government, National Junior Honor Society, and Home & Careers Club, the initiative is collecting non-perishable food items and essential personal care products to assist individuals and families in need across Long Island.
The drive partners with the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless, helping stock a “boutique” where people experiencing homelessness can access necessities with dignity and care. With nearly 10,000 individuals experiencing homelessness on Long Island each year — including many children — the students recognized the importance of coming together to support their community.
Through teamwork, leadership, and compassion, Selden Middle School students continue to demonstrate the positive impact young people can have when they work together for a meaningful cause.
The pantry drive serves as another inspiring example of students turning awareness into action while helping make a difference for neighbors in need.
