At Fontbonne, service is more than an activity or requirement—it is an important part of the school’s identity and mission.
In recognition of National Nonprofit Day, Fontbonne celebrated the many students, alumnae, families, donors, and supporters who have helped strengthen the school community through service since 1954.
Guided by the call to “serve the dear neighbor without distinction,” Fontbonne students are encouraged to put compassion into action by giving their time and talents to help others.
That commitment to service extends throughout the school community, creating opportunities for young people to recognize needs around them, step forward to help, and understand the difference they can make when they work together.
For student-athletes, those lessons are especially meaningful. The teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and perseverance developed through athletics can also become powerful tools for serving others and strengthening communities.
