About:

The East Northport Middle School educational community came together for another successful St. Baldrick’s event on March 11. The team, consisting of more then 60 students, student athletes, parents and staff members, raised close to $24,000.

Since the team launched in 2009, they’ve collected more than $160,000 for the fight against cancer. Team captain John Braun, a seventh-grade science teacher at ENMS, was proclaimed Knight Commander as he marked his 11th year with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

Students were also acknowledged for years of dedication to fighting childhood cancer. Recognized for three years of service as Squires of Hope: Max Bratchie, Joseph Canavan, Philip Greenwood, Connor Mulligan, Jake Pennino, Alyssa Voskinarian and Liam Wine. Honored for seven years of participation as a Knight of the Bald Table: Thomas McDonagh.

This year’s top fundraiser for the district was ENMS eighth-grader Thomas Sandrib. The ENMS Bald Tigers would like to thank everyone who made the St. Baldrick’s event a huge success.
