About:
The Shoreham-Wading River community came together on September 27, 2025, for the 1st Annual Adrian Gilmore Game, a special day celebrating the life and lasting legacy of Coach Adrian Gilmore.
The event began with raffles and a special ceremony before the SWR Girls Varsity Soccer Team took on William Floydat noon. Later in the afternoon, the SWR Boys Varsity Soccer Team faced Garden City at 3:00 PM.
Throughout the day, student-athletes, families, friends, and community members gathered to remember Coach Gilmore while enjoying soccer, raffles, a 50/50 drawing, and time together as a community.
The event also helped support the Gilmore family, with donations and proceeds from the day providing another meaningful way for the community to show its love and support.
More than just two soccer games, the inaugural Adrian Gilmore Game served as a powerful reminder of the impact a coach can have on generations of student-athletes.
Through this new tradition, Coach Gilmore’s memory, influence, and love for the game will continue to live on throughout the Shoreham-Wading River community.
