About:
Student-athletes from Shoreham-Wading River High School brought both heart and determination to the Andrew’s Top Gun Run 5K in Calverton, using the event as an opportunity to give back while honoring a meaningful legacy.
Members of both the boys and girls lacrosse programs participated in the run, demonstrating their commitment to supporting their community beyond the field. The event holds special significance for the SWR community, as it honors Andrew, a fellow student whose legacy continues to inspire those around him.
Throughout the race, student-athletes pushed themselves physically while coming together for a shared purpose—showing support, unity, and respect. Their presence reflected not only athletic dedication, but also a deep sense of connection to their school community.
By participating in the Top Gun Run, SWR lacrosse players exemplified what it means to lead with heart—using their platform to honor others, support important causes, and strengthen the bonds that make their community so special.
