About:

Photo caption: The Kids Care Club at Tamarac Elementary School in the Sachem Central School District recently wrapped up its Socktober Drive, collecting pairs of socks for those experiencing homelessness. Students were inspired by “Kid President’s” Socktober initiative. They learned that new socks are one of the most needed, yet least donated items to shelters and donation sites. Tamarac Elementary School dropped the new socks to local organizations including the Outreach Center at Our Lady of Lourdes in West Islip.
