About:
In the fall, we did a highway cleanup in conjunction with WestRock, which is a packaging manufacturer in our backyard. We also try to do this in the spring. We have all our athletes and all levels, modified, JV and varsity come together on a Saturday morning, and clean up the main road in Solvay. Our booster club provides juice and donuts for after!
For winter, we volunteered for the Salvation Army Christmas Bureau in Syracuse. We had student athletes help at their set up days and another group assist families on the actual distribution days by helping them shop and packing boxes of food.
Today we did the Feed My Starving Children, which is a non-profit organization that has volunteers pack nutrient rich food to send over to the malnourished in over 70 countries. (Information provided by Nicole Halloran, MS, ATC)
