On September 26th, the Somers Football program brought excitement, pride, and community spirit to a whole new level with a special morning of school greetings. Players visited all three lower-level buildings — Primrose, SIS, and SMS — welcoming students at drop-off with big smiles, high-fives, and plenty of Tusker pride.
The joyful start set a positive tone for every student walking through the doors, and the team embraced the chance to be strong role models for the younger members of the Somers community. Moments like this truly reflect the heart of the program — leadership, connection, and a commitment to lifting others up.
This tradition has long been a part of the football program, and this year the initiative expanded to include all fall sports, making it an even greater success. As the team heads into their homecoming game, they carry with them the energy of that morning and the pride of representing a community that supports them at every level.
