Over the years we have worked together with Skidmore College Field Hockey to provide field hockey opportunities for all. This community event my Varsity Field Hockey players and Skidmore Field Hockey program worked together to provide a great field hockey opportunity to the youth of the capital district. This particular youth play day featured 26 youth teams in grades 3-6. The Skidmore team provided an hour clinic for all of the youth and then officiated small type games for the other two hours. My varsity players worked at the concession/merchandise stand and helped coach our Saratoga youth teams.
I had 12 of my varsity players that helped that day. We would have had more but some of my players do spring sports. It was 4 hours long. When we do our play day in the fall, we have every varsity player that day.
