About:

Rhame students recently completed the St. Jude Math-A-Thon, raising $3,448 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The Math Action Team held a kickoff assembly on Feb. 1 to educate the school’s students about the Math-A-Thon and how the donations help the children at St. Jude. The Math-A-Thon includes a free math curriculum supplement for grades K-8, which students complete after obtaining sponsorships from friends and family. The school set a fundraising goal of $3,000 and surpassed it by more than $400. A competition was held in the school to see which class could raise the most money. The winning class was Marissa Diamond’s second-grade class with a total of $663. The students at Rhame look forward to participating in future Math-A-Thons.
