About:
On January 3, 2026, the STMA Knights Hockey program proudly hosted Military, Fire, First Responder, and Police Appreciation Day, welcoming the community for a meaningful day of hockey dedicated to honoring our heroes.
The Knights faced Bemidji in a full slate of games, with JV puck drop at 12:45 PM followed by the Varsity matchup at 3:00 PM. Fans filled the arena wearing camo to show their support, creating a powerful and patriotic atmosphere throughout the day.
As part of the event, all veterans and first responders received free admission with service ID, recognizing the sacrifices made by those who serve our country and protect our communities every day. From military members and firefighters to EMS and law enforcement personnel, the STMA community came together to express gratitude and appreciation.
Military & First Responder Appreciation Day was a reminder that hockey is more than just a game—it’s a platform to bring people together, give thanks, and honor those who put others first. The STMA Knights were proud to host this special event and say thank you to our heroes for your service.
