About:
This weekend, the Stony Brook Baseball team traded bats and gloves for buckets and trash bags as they headed to West Meadow Beach for a meaningful volunteer cleanup effort. With the sun shining and the waves rolling in, the Seawolves came together to help protect one of the community’s most cherished shoreline spaces.
The student-athletes spent the day removing litter, debris, and plastics from the beach, ensuring a cleaner, safer environment for local families, wildlife, and future visitors. Their teamwork and positive energy turned the cleanup into a powerful example of environmental stewardship and community pride.
From the ball field to the beach, these Seawolves continue to demonstrate what it means to lead by example—showing that service, responsibility, and unity are just as important as athletic success.
Thank you to Stony Brook Baseball and all the volunteers who helped make West Meadow Beach a cleaner and more beautiful place for everyone to enjoy!
