About:
The Baseball community once again stepped up to support a meaningful cause through participation in Penfield’s annual Strike Out Cancer game.
This year’s event honored Mrs. Ronzo, a beloved member of the Penfield community who loved the game of baseball and enjoyed spending time on the sidelines cheering, laughing, and making memories with friends and family.
In her honor, all funds raised from the event were donated to the Pluta Cancer Center and the Integrative Oncology and Wellness Center to help support cancer care, wellness services, and resources for patients and families.
Players, coaches, and fans showed their support by purchasing commemorative shirts and hoodies, with varsity and JV teams wearing them to school ahead of the game and during pregame warmups on April 25.
The Strike Out Cancer event also brought together multiple school communities in support of the cause, highlighting the power of athletics to unite students, families, and fans around compassion, service, and giving back.
