About:
For the past four years, student-athlete Sophia Buffardi has made a lasting impact on younger athletes in her community through volunteering at youth soccer and lacrosse camps and clinics.
By serving as a counselor and mentor, Sophia dedicated her time to helping young athletes improve not only their athletic skills, but also their confidence, character, sportsmanship, and respect for others. Through four-day youth camps in both soccer and lacrosse, she spent hours each day coaching, encouraging, and guiding the next generation of players both on and off the field.
In addition to summer camps, Sophia also helped run K-1 lacrosse clinics throughout the spring season, creating opportunities for younger children to learn the fundamentals of the sport while building connections with high school athletes. The clinics focused on introducing the game in a positive and supportive environment while fostering teamwork and a love for athletics.
Over the course of the past four years, Sophia contributed approximately 36 service hours annually through these programs. More importantly, her commitment helped inspire younger athletes to dream big, work hard, and grow both as players and individuals.
Through leadership, mentorship, and service, Sophia Buffardi has demonstrated how athletics can be used as a powerful tool to positively impact the community and inspire the next generation.
