On May 9th, the gym was filled with energy, laughter, and competitive spirit as the Student Athlete Leadership Council (SALC) hosted its annual Teacher vs. Student Volleyball Tournament. This fun and highly anticipated event brought together students, faculty, and supporters — all for a powerful cause.
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, this year’s tournament served a greater purpose: raising funds for The Morgan’s Message Foundation, an organization dedicated to eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health in the student-athlete community. Through donations, ticket sales, and team participation, students and staff helped contribute to a mission that hits close to home for many.
The highlight of the day? A sweeping victory by “The Students”, who DOMINATED “The Teachers” on the court with undeniable skill and spirit! The Teachers put up a strong fight, but the Students were simply unstoppable this year.
To our valiant Teachers — don’t hang up your jerseys just yet. There’s always next year!
