About:
Students and staff from the Port Jefferson School District recently came together to celebrate P.S. I Love You Day with a weeklong series of activities focused on kindness, positivity, and strengthening their school community.
At Earl L. Vandermeulen High School and Port Jefferson Middle School, the celebration encouraged students and staff to take time to support one another and spread messages of compassion and encouragement throughout the schools.
Throughout the week, the school community participated in initiatives designed to promote positive connections and remind students that they are supported and valued. The activities created opportunities for students and staff to come together, build stronger relationships, and reinforce the importance of kindness in everyday interactions.
P.S. I Love You Day is recognized nationwide as a day dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and reminding individuals that they are never alone. By expanding the celebration into a full week of activities, the Port Jefferson school community further emphasized the importance of empathy, support, and inclusion.
Through initiatives like this, students and staff at Port Jefferson School District continue to demonstrate how small acts of kindness can create a positive and supportive environment where everyone feels connected and valued
