About:
Throughout the month of April, students participated in the 3rd Annual Coin War, a spirited competition that brought grades together for a meaningful cause. This year, all proceeds from the event will be donated to The Brian Moore Memorial Fund, honoring the legacy of NYPD Officer Brian Moore.
Students were encouraged to bring in spare change, and their generosity truly made a difference. The Student Council Secretary had the honor of filling out the donation check, which will be presented to Mr. Ray Moore of the Brian Moore Memorial Fund later this week.
The total amount raised, along with the grade level that collected the most coins, will be revealed during a special assembly on Friday morning for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. As a tribute to Officer Moore, students attending the assembly are encouraged to wear blue or law enforcement-themed shirts.
The Coin War continues to be a powerful example of student leadership, school spirit, and community service in action.
